We want to tell you about our Remote DBA Services solution. But first we would like to ask you a few questions:
If your answers to these questions are “I don’t really know” or “Oh boy”, then you’re in the right place. We are here to help.
Our Remote DBA Services solution offers cutting-edge database administration and management designed to meet your requirements and budget.
We actively manage your databases, 24 hour a day, 365 days a year, so that you can focus on your core business.
We make sure that your data is always available and secured, and that performance is always kept at peak level.
How does Remote DBA Services Work?
We start with a thorough review of your data environment. During the review, we collect configuration and performance data, we create a documentation of your environment, and we identify problematic issues in the current implementation. By the end of the review, we’ll send you a detailed summary. This document presents the current architecture, and describes our findings as well as the issues that require attention and work in order to fix them. The document also contains the scope of work for us to implement all the required fixes. Click here for an example.
After the review, we implement the fixes according to the scope of work. We monitor the system before and after the implementation, to make sure that we achieve the desired improvements.
During the on-going operation, we will, of-course, make sure that everything works as smooth as possible. However, once in a while there might be unexpected issues (e.g. a disk is corrupted). Otherwise, you don’t really need us, do you?
When such an event occurs, we will know about it as soon as it happens thanks to our comprehensive monitoring and alerting system. Then we will act right away, and do whatever it takes in order to fix the problem and put the system back on track as quickly as possible. We will also take extra steps in order to make sure that it doesn’t happen again. Once we’re done, we will send you an incident report, so that you know what happened and how we handled it. You don’t need to do anything, because we have already taken care of it, but we want to keep you informed. After all, it’s your system. Click here for an example of such an incident report.
We also proactively perform routine checks on the system in order to prevent problems before they happen and fix potential issues in coordination with you. And we use our monitoring system to analyze performance trends over time. Once a month, we will send you a report with a summary of the current state of your data environment, including any tasks we are currently working on or issues we handled in the past month.
