Working with Very Large Tables Like a Pro in SQL Server 2019

Updated: Dec 7, 2020

Last week I presented a session as part of the wonderful GroupBy event. The session was about Working with Very Large Tables Like a Pro in SQL Server 2019.

I talked about 4 activities against very large tables: management, query performance, data ingestion, and maintenance. We covered many topics and features in SQL Server and Azure SQL, such as partitioning, stretch database, incremental statistics, delayed durability, and resumable online index operations.

It was a wild ride with lots of demos. If you were there, then I hope you enjoyed it and learned something new. If you missed it, then you can still watch the recording and download all the session materials.

I would like to thank the organizers and volunteers who are doing such a great job in order to make GroupBy possible. I really love this event.

See you next time...
